Although each team ended up with identical 2-2-1 records, Brazil FC managed to nick Cameron Road United by a goal to win the final match 3-2. The Honey Badgers did themselves proud though, reaching the finals for the first time in the Fall Cup competition. Cameron Road produced a magical run to the finals a…
The starting defensive lineup for today’s game read: Luke at keeper, Crosley at left back, Willis and Dermot in the middle, and Chappy at right back. A very unorthodox selection for sure, but one born out of necessity as Cameron Road only had 10 players available to face Austin Athletic Club. Way, Ciro, Barnaby and…
In a battle of ancient rivals from long ago, Cameron Road put the hurt on an undermanned Babaganoutch at Onion Creek field en route to a 2-0 victory. Since joining D3, Cameron Road has found its form and winning ways in stark comparison to Baba, who looked a shadow of their former selves. In addition…
Although Andy gets major props for wearing the right color shorts for the first time in 2 years, he did manage to forget his jersey, shoes and shin guards. In an ingenious, last-minute, MacGgyveresque flash of brilliance, Andy decided to stuff some diapers into his socks to shield himself from the occasional kick in the…
With a hard fought 1-0 loss to SAS United in the Heineken Cup on Saturday followed by a 4-1 drubbing at the hands of AFC Barcenal on Sunday, the honey badgers got the equivalent of a can of tuna in their Halloween bag this weekend. First up was Saturday’s rematch with last week’s opponent, SAS…

With a 3-2 victory against the machismo-charged little angels of Libertad FC, Cameron Road jumped to fourth place in D3 on Sunday. The hard fought win came in spite of Libertad’s outwardly assault on sportsmanship, common sense, fair play and the ability of gravity to keep a human body upright in the face of little…
When only 8 players showed up for Capoeira FC, there was only going to be one result today as Cameron Road rolled up 15 deep. With four subs and a great set of fans on the sidelines, CRU jumped out to a five goal lead in the first half to virtually put the game out…
Cameron Road United fell to Torchy’s 2-1 on a muggy Sunday afternoon after mounting a second half comeback to get themselves back into the game. As a third of the team was out with the sea of humanity at ACL waiting for Chumbawumba to take center stage, 13 Honey Badgers showed up to face a…
If you’re a student of history, you know that Cameron Road United has not started out the regular season well in recent years. After losing their last 3 opening day games, Cameron Road earned a scrappy point in their first D3 game in 5 years this morning. Like the sputtering Longhorns, whose offense hasn’t quite…
Bloodied, battered and bruised – Cameron Road United left the field winners of summer division 3 and finished up the season on an 8 game undefeated streak. The 2-2 draw with Galaxia S.C. ended one of the most successful spells in recent CRU history, but it wasn’t all good times as Billy went down with…
The Soccer Gods are smiling on Cameron Road United this summer as their win streak hits a monumental 6 games in a grind-it-out, hard-fought victory against Internacional Austin F.C. – a.k.a. The Mary Kay Allstars.
Last week, at an undisclosed top secret location, those who showed up for practice were treated to a carpet of lush, green, thick grass. It sure beat the hell of the Clark Field moonscape (which is currently under renovations of astroturf-like proportions). Alas, this was probably a one-time deal as other activities are scheduled to…

Everything is just a little better with a win, isn’t it? The post-game beer is colder, the hundred degree heat isn’t quite so stifling, the Monday morning aches and pains aren’t quite so bad. That’s how the Cameron Road United crew is feeling today after a dominant victory over INDIOS on Sunday. CRU finally showed…
First up for Cameron Road United on the “Summer Heat Wave” Tour of 2011 was Deportivo San Marcos. A decent team that CRU had never faced before. They had a few solid forward players, and as is customary, were adept at passing the ball around. Unlike the final few games of the regular season, Cameron…
httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4r7wHMg5Yjg He runs backwards, he eats cobra, he’s fearless, basically, he doesn’t give a shit.
All things considered, a short handed Cameron Road United closed out the most forgettable of seasons with a gritty 10 man performance, featuring a player that had never even seen the pitch for them. Thanks to Andy’s friend, and newest teammate Adam, for strapping on the yellow jersey and giving it 90 minutes. Adam will…
Win the ball. Pass it. Run into space. Repeat.
In a game of two distinct halves, Cameron Road United fell to the Celtic Cowboys by a final score of 6-1. With 11 players to shuffle around, half of which were suffering from the previous night’s tribute to Luke’s upcoming wedding, the bloodshot-eyed boys in yellow took the field against a Celtic Cowboy team that…
Much like the fabled battle at Thermopylae, a few Cameron Roaders stood against many. 10 brave souls faced 19. And just like the Spartans, the men of Cameron Road fought the good fight, and were playing toe-to-toe with the Persians, er, Strikers for 45 minutes when the score was just a one goal difference. But…
