Honey Badgers Snatch Defeat From the Jaws of Victory in Heartbreaking 4-3 Loss to Wolverines

Son of a….

Up 3-2 with 10 minutes to play sounded like it was gonna be time to pop the top on that bottle of champagne and breathe a collective sigh of relief, but since this is the year of the dead honey badger, things didn’t turn out the way Cameron Road had planned it.

Two late goals, including one in the last minute, sunk the Honey Badgers last best chance for the victory they have been craving for since Chappy last had a full head of hair.

Wasted on the day were Houston’s two great solo goals, and Adam’s assist for Reuben’s dancing strike, all in the first half.

The Honey Badgers were busy chasing around “Greg Lite” from the Wolverines, and rode their bad luck to some unusually strange goals against them.

Jaybone even saved a penalty in the first half, but it was all for naught as the Cameron Road’s troublesome stretch continued for another week.

The post game Dragons vs. Punters hecklefest was even slightly subdued, as if there were a  dark cloud hovering over Badgertown for the afternoon.

Time for the boys to dig deep and show up ready to scrap it out by any means necessary to get that big WIN next Sunday.
