LOSS: CRU 0 – Punters 1 – El Classico Ends in a Painful Last-Minute Defeat
It was hot. It was humid. It was NEMP.
Hoping to turn around their two game losing streak to the evil Punter empire, Cameron Road suited up with 4 subs, several family members, the dinosaur bone, Stripy’s polo, the tent, and a professional photographer to try and get things back on track. And for 85 minutes it was looking like a 0-0 draw was on the cards.
Then. Disaster struck in the form of a Pete from Practice wonder strike with only minutes to go to give the Punters their 3rd consecutive victory.
Brutal.
The defense played lights out with Chris G and his blown hammy watching, but the offense just couldn’t get anything going to trouble Spiderman in the Punter goal.
F-it. We won the post game.
Man-of-the-Match: Guillermo played well in his last big rivalry for a few years. He was steady at the back and got forward a few times to get into shooting position.
