LOSS: CRU 0 – Travis FC 5 – The Struggle Is Real

No tent. No goals. No bueno.

Cameron Road United started the second trimester of this season yesterday hoping to get back on track with a glorious victory. After a good first half saw them go down by a goal, the vibes were positive heading into the second half.

From there, things did not go as planned.

There were some bright spots. There were three young Badgers on the sidelines in Badgerzilla tees. Danimal was a size 13 shoe away from putting one it. Chappy had a long-range shot sail just over the crossbar. Derek had some good chances. Guillermo drove a hard shot right at the keeper as a tribute to Ciro’s tiny, BT-like injured calf. Adam was a nuisance. Big Dave dropped some slide tackles. Peterson’s left-footed cross was pretty dope. But nothing was actually going in the net.

The Soccer Gods are currently not done putting the Honey Badgers through the ringer this season, but with more than half the games remaining, there’s still time to turn this titanic-shaped turd of a season into something positive.

Man-of-the-Match: Was not expecting an Andy sighting as he landed around 11pm on Saturday night from 2 weeks in Eastern Europe, but he showed up and did his thing for 90 minutes.

Post-Match: Sad. Hot. Tentless. Sidelines invaded by other teams.
