Badgers Got The Blues In 0-3 Loss
Ahh, it’s just summer, right? Despite playing some pretty nice football for a lot of the game, the Honey Badgers just couldn’t overcome two goals and a penalty kick by Austin Blues.
The Badgers back line was mostly strong, the midfield was able to pass the ball around smartly, but with Steve and Derek MIA, the front line just couldn’t find the back of the net.
There were good opportunities though. Chappy was back from Mexico and continued to put headers off-target, Andy returned from his 1 month retirement and blasted one over the bar with the last attack of the game, Big Dave strolled up to nail two shots at goal, Adam and Willis took turns shooting from tight angles in the first twenty minutes, and Brian had several pops from the top of the box.
The Honey Badgers are gonna need to lace up their collective shootin’ boots in the weeks ahead since that’s three scoreless efforts on the trot.
On the flip side, as ever, the Post Game was strong.
