Honey Badgers End Summer Season On A High With a 1-1 Draw with the Hooligans
And so another Summer Season cometh to a close. Great way to end the season with back to back solid performances.
The Hooligans had a lot of the ball in the Honey Badgers half during the first 45 minutes, but the quick-scoring counter attack was on point as Ryan sliced the defense with a ball to Ciro who (slowly) rolled the ball to the back post.
The second half saw the Honey Badgers control much more of the game and bring the action to the Hooligans, although they did give up a goal.
The game ended with a thunderous “Cuyler Special” clearance by Jake.
Everyone played a part in the glory today. Ciro scored the goal. Willis pulled the strings from deep in midfield (before pulling his hammy again). Peterson sent it nearly into the back of the net with a long-range shot. Cory continued to impress everyone with his hard-nosed play – he’s gonna be a solid addition in the Fall. Adam brought the oranges. Jake brought the mist. Chappy brought the soggy banana. Billy unpacked his briefcase, put his lunch in the fridge, and went about his business like performance in the back and snuck up top for a chance. Bret played a hell of a game in defense and managed to keep calm. New Chris was solid as always and went off on his seasonal deep offensive run. Derek broke 12 ankles with his cutbacks. Andy bulldozed his was to a possible separated shoulder. Jefe brought the lemonade mix and headed everything out of the back. And Jaybone recovered from his ankle injury to keep the Badgers safe and sound.

Big shout out to Brian S for catering the post game…. the dawgs were on point!
Well done lads….. another successful summer season in the books. And now, fate and the Honey Bear will decide our future. Stay tuned!
