In what was one of the most memorable games in recent history, 10 man Cameron Road stormed back against 17 man Slaughter Inferno to earn a 3-3 draw. After going down 1-3 midway in the second half, the Honey Badgers shifted into “don’t give a shit” mode for the rally. With epic defending, tenacious offensive spurts, and a little help from a former teammate, Cameron Road left the field “winners”. And now, we pay tribute for the 10 immortal souls who showed up for the 8am game.

Billy – played defense all day, delivered the final assist with a Clark Field Special free kick from 40 yards out.
Ciro – played central defense in the first half, central midfield in the second half, and scored the 2nd goal with a nice Mizuno cutback.
Chappy – played central midfield in the first half, central defense and left wing in the second half, and scored the tying goal with a backward flick of his golden dome.
Crosley – played defense all day long, never stopped, consistent performer.
Danimal – epic in goal the first half filling in for Jay, switched to defense in the second and willed the team back into the game.
El Jefe – battered, injured, on the ground, but always got back up and was powered by the spirit of the great eagle.
Gianluca – powered by Columbian “cocoa” tea, he was tireless as the lone striker, scored a cracker of an opening goal and assisted Ciro on the second.
Jared – clutch out of town performance when we needed him most, played right midfield all day long, lots of running.
Peterson – played central midfield and defended for 90 minutes, got close with a few deep free kicks.
Ryan – despite hurting himself walking from his car to the field, he played defense and then pitched a shutout in goal for the final 20 minutes.
