We may not have been the most entertaining team on the field, but we damn sure were the most entertaining off the field.
We may have not played the most entertaining soccer this weekend as our low scores indicate, but if there was a trophy for the most entertaining team on the sidelines, you can damn sure believe we would have one it hands down.
Fueled by positive displays on the field, lots of beer, propane-charred sausages and Monster energy drinks, if we were rooting for your team, it was like having an extra man on the field to dance between defenders. Don’t believe me, just see these comments from eventual Rec Division champions and $500 winner Luis Menotti of CA Banfield:
Greetings CRUFC, it was a pleasure playing against your squad in the hard fought tie this past saturday ( CA Banfield)…not to mention the sideline commentary on sunday..
If you need a keeper, Sasquath or “Squatch”, as you affectionately have christened him, is from the Austin area…I know everyone hates him but he is good to have on your side..well food for thought..it was nice playing aginst you guys and talking to some of you this past weekend, best of luck and continued success.CA Banfield
Cheers fellas – although we will decline their offer and instead admire The Squatch from afar in his natural habitat which is somewhere deep within the tree line.
