Summer Game #8 – CRU 2 – CC United 1
With Chappy receiving high altitude bunion therapy in the mountains of Santa Fe, Jefe was in charge of recalling the mental souvenirs from the game against CC United:
So the game started out and they had a couple young planers and I got burned on the corner and they passed it in for the first goal in the first 10 minutes. Then we played through the first half and everything was pretty good. We had Matt, Pete and Scotty.
Oranges.
Gianluca won a p/k and Derek slotted it in without a cutback. 1-1.
They we continued to scrap. CC United sure had some opportunities and then Conor broke around on the right side and had an immaculate touch and headed the ball to himself.
Matt and Ruben were both playing up top. Ruben snatched a CC back pass and juked the keeper for the winning tap in goal.
It got a little scrappy at the end, but Camreon Road weathered the storm.

Post-Game-Report: Jefe and Billy beat CC in the battle of the post game as they were trying to outlast the Honey Badgers and mean mug them. Matt, in his final summer act before running off to Nebraska to get married, had beer delivered to the field. Legend.
