WIN: 4-1 vs Travis FC – Badgers Finish Off Summer Season with Big Win Over Arch Rivals…. Silencing their Crowd for Good

Cameron Road United closed out this epic Summer Season with a thrilling 4-1 victory over Travis FC on a 107 degree noon day at Onion Creek to finish off with a winning record…. a not-so-easy feat for summer ball.

Since Chappy was high up a mountain in Santa Fe, all reports and findings in this match report could quite possibly be hearsay and conjecture, but we’re going with it as reported by Jefe.

Sounds like Travis FC showed up a bit unprepared and had to start with 8 players while 14 Badgers nutted up and were willing to give it a go in the heat. Within the first few minutes, someone chopped down Ciro with a tiny axe inside the box for a penalty. Pete the pirate walked the plank and got his summer goal as he stepped up to drive it home.

Next up, Jefe got the ball to Hoguer whose golden left foot provided a perfect cross to Conor to head in for goal number two.

After Travis finally assembled a full squad, they got a bit of luck as a shot came off the crossbar behind Danimal, who was filling in for Jaybone between the pipes.

Conor got his 2nd of the day with an outside of the left foot shot past the keeper to the near post.

As temps soared, so did tempers as Matt’s mouth was working its awesomeness and Adam’s dark arts got him chopped down just outside the box, earning the Travis defender a card.

Jesus got his tap-in to make it 4, and the Badgers were flying high.

Man-of-the-Match: Conor got his brace and most likely brought some sweet treats for the post-game feast.

Post-Game: All reports indicated an epic grand finale.

THANK YOU TO ALL THE CAMERON ROAD GUEST PLAYERS THAT MADE THIS SUMMER A BLAST!!!! WE WILL SEE YOU NEXT YEAR.
